This recipe is dairy free and grain free. If you wish to make molasses granola, use 1 teaspoon of molasses to replace the cinnamon and cloves.
Oh, and you could make a much nicer looking granola than the one above. The truth about this one: I burned it.
Yes. I burn things.
I sort of have this problem where I get engrossed in a book and forget that I am making granola. And this book happened to be one of those fast-pace adventure novels where there’s danger at every turn and the excitement doesn’t end until the last page. And with those books you never can tell, because sometimes the excitement doesn’t end at all and they just tell you to buy the next in the series.
And of course you do buy the next in the series, and the ending of the second is just as disappointing. It’s best not to read that kind of book in the first place.
So anyway, on to the recipe.
INGREDIENTS
1 ½ cups almond flour
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons honey.
1 ½ cups various nuts
1 ½ cups raisins/craisins
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon cloves
Grease a large cookie sheet with oil. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
In a bowl, combine all the ingredients. Spread the granola onto the cookie sheet.
Place in the oven and cook for fifteen minutes, stirring every five minutes or so.
Remove from oven and let cool for fifteen minutes before placing in a container/canister.
